At Aloha Always, we restore gently used American Girl dolls and place them into the hands of girls in foster care-girls who are often navigating uncertainty, new environments, and big emotions that no child should carry alone.

Each restored doll becomes more than a gift.
She becomes a constant, a companion, and a quiet reminder of this truth:

Your donation helps us give girls something of real value- something to care for, connect with, and take pride in. It gives them a way to nurture and practice healthy attachment, to feel trusted with something special, and to experience the gentle healing that comes from play, imagination, and storytelling.

When a girl receives a restored doll, she also receives the message that her story matters-that she’s not forgotten, she’s not alone, and she is loved deeply.

Your gift directly supports:

    The restoration of each donated doll. Dolls are often found and purchased at second hand stores and need cleaning a repairs.

  • ✽

    Hair care, cleaning, and repairs. Each doll also comes with a brush to care for her doll’s hair on her own.

  • ✽

    New outfits and accessories-each doll come with two complete outfits and a carry case that doubles as a bed, as well as any other items that reflect the girls special hobbies or interests.

  • ✽

    An American Girl book or Jesus Storybook Bible for each girl to promote reading as another healthy coping skill.

  • ✽

    Printing the doll’s personalized story card and affirmations.

  • ✽

    The cost of shipping for donations across the United States.

  • Your gift covers the cost of doll restoration supplies, clothing, packaging, Bibles, books, story cards, and shipping. Even a small donation helps a doll reach her new girl.

  • Yes! We gladly accept gently used 18” dolls (American Girl one please) along with clothing and accessories. Every donated doll is lovingly restored and prepared for her next chapter.

  • These dolls are high quality, durable, diverse, and meaningful. They help build pride, responsibility, and emotional connection. Their stories often teach bravery, resilience, and kindness-themes that beautifully support trauma healing.

  • Aloha Always is faith-inspired, but not affiliated with any denomination or church.
    Our mission is rooted in God’s love-a love that is gentle, unconditional, and inclusive.
    We respect each child’s background, beliefs, and story.
    We offer the Jesus Storybook Bible as a gift of hope and comfort, never as pressure. An American Girl book can be provided in place of the Jesus Storybook Bible

  • Foster parents and caregivers can submit a request. Dolls are matched as they become available, and we do our best to pair each girl with a doll she will connect with. Priority is given to girls ages 6–10.

  • This varies based on the number of donated dolls and any specific preferences. We strive to match every child thoughtfully, and we appreciate your patience as we restore each doll with care.

  • We are in the process of applying for nonprofit status. Your donation currently supports our work but may not be tax-deductible yet.

  • We ONLY use information provided to match dolls and request that you do not provide any case specific information and do not break confidentiality as a foster parent. None of the information provided will be made public.

  • You can:

    • Host a doll drive

    • Volunteer to clean, restore, or package dolls

    • Donate outfits or accessories

    • Share Aloha Always with your community

Our Mission

At Aloha Always, we believe in second chances, sacred purpose, and love that never lets go.

We restore gently-loved American Girl dolls and place them into the arms of girls entering foster care — as a tangible reminder that, like these dolls, they are not forgotten, discarded, or without purpose. They are deeply loved, cherished, and created by God for something beautiful.

Each doll receives a new outfit, fresh hair, and a name card affirming her worth:
