At Aloha Always, we believe the dolls we give should do more than sit on a shelf-they should inspire pride, imagination, and healing.

That’s why we choose to restore and gift American Girl dolls.

  • American Girl dolls are made with exceptional quality-strong, timeless, and beautifully detailed. We love that they can be cleaned, repaired, and restored again and again, reminding each girl that even when life feels messy or broken, she can be made new too.

  • Many girls in foster care have never owned something truly special that’s theirs. These dolls are valuable, not just in cost, but in care. When a girl receives her doll, she learns that she is trusted, worthy, and capable of caring for something precious-building a sense of pride, ownership, and responsibility that helps her grow in confidence and self-worth.

  • Each American Girl doll has her own story-often one of courage, change, and overcoming hard things. Many dolls represent real moments in history, teaching empathy and resilience through storytelling. These stories mirror what our girls are walking through-proof that even in challenging times, hope and bravery win.

  • American Girl dolls come in a variety of skin tones, hair textures, eye colors, and cultural backgrounds. We celebrate that diversity and do our best to match each girl with a doll she will feel connected to-one that reminds her she’s beautifully made, seen, and loved exactly as she is.

Every Aloha Always doll begins as a pre-loved treasure-once cherished, now ready to bring joy and comfort to a new little girl in foster care. When you donate a doll, you’re giving more than a toy… you’re giving hope, belonging, and a reminder of God’s unending love.

What We Accept

We lovingly restore:

  • 18” American Girl dolls (please only donate Authentic American Girl dolls)

  • Doll clothing & accessories (can be off brand)

  • Gently used doll furniture or carrying cases (can be off brand)

  • American Girl books and/or Jesus Storybook Bibles

Each doll is cleaned, repaired, and dressed before being paired with a book and a heartfelt card to her new girl.

How to Donate

  1. Check your doll: make sure she’s in gently used condition (we can repair small flaws like messy hair, surface marks, or minor outfit wear). If you aren’t sure, message us to find out. We can work wonders.

  2. Package with care: wrap your doll safely and include any clothing or accessories you’d like to send.

  3. Ship or drop off: send to our mailing address or contact us to arrange local pickup.

Each donated doll represents a story of redemption and renewal-a second chance to love and be loved. And for every girl who receives one, it’s a reminder that like her doll, she is not forgotten, she is chosen, and she is deeply loved.

  • Aloha Always is an independent, not for profit gifting initiative and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or in any way connected to American Girl®, the American Girl® Doll Hospital, or Mattel, Inc. All trademarks, names, and related intellectual property remain the sole property of their respective owners.

    Aloha Always provides only limited refurbishing services, such as cleaning, hairstyling, and minor cosmetic restoration. We do not perform or claim to perform advanced repairs (including but not limited to head or limb replacement, internal joint repair, or factory-level restoration). Such services should be obtained directly through the official American Girl® Doll Hospital or other authorized service providers.

    At our discretion, and only when supported by designated donor contributions, Aloha Always may elect to utilize the American Girl® Doll Hospital on behalf of a recipient whose doll requires specialized restoration beyond our scope. This does not create or imply any partnership, endorsement, or formal relationship with American Girl® or Mattel, Inc.

Our Mission

At Aloha Always, we believe in second chances, sacred purpose, and love that never lets go.

We restore gently-loved American Girl dolls and place them into the arms of girls entering foster care — as a tangible reminder that, like these dolls, they are not forgotten, discarded, or without purpose. They are deeply loved, cherished, and created for something beautiful.

Each doll receives a new outfit, fresh hair, and a name card affirming her worth:
